Learn how to organize the gmail inbox by using the feature turn off inbox categories

The gmail inbox is organized using the feature inbox categories. With inbox categories, Gmail will automatically sort your emails into different categories, such as promotions, social media updates.

If you want to remove the inbox categories, open the Gmail.

Click Settings.

Under Inbox type, select Default.

The Customize window appears.

In order to remove one or more categories, deselect the box next to each category.

For example, if you want to remove the promotion category, deselect the box next to promotion.

Click Save. to save the changes.

To hide all inbox categories, uncheck all the categories.
